About Us

Chaparral/Wolverines Hockey Club is a co-op program that brings together players from Chaparral, Legend, and Ponderosa High Schools in Parker, Colorado. Private high schools in the Parker area, such as Lutheran, CEC, and eDCSD, are also eligible to participate. Additionally, we have players from high schools further east that don’t have hockey programs, including Elizabeth High School and Kiowa High School.

In Colorado, high school hockey is currently divided into two main seasons. During the Fall (August to November), we participate in the Colorado Prep Hockey League (CPHL). Teams in the CPHL generally adhere to the same boundaries as the winter season and often have a significant overlap in their rosters. Tryouts for the CPHL season commence in early August. The winter season, on the other hand, is governed by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). This season is officially recognized under the Chaparral High School banner. Tryouts for CHSAA take place in late October or early November and are open to all players within our boundaries, regardless of whether they participated in the CPHL season.

Outside the two main seasons, our club organizes various programs during the off-season. For a comprehensive list of our programs, please visit the “Programs” tab at the top of this page. To stay informed about the registration dates for these programs, become a member of our club by clicking the link at the bottom. Joining our club ensures that you’re the first to know about new programs we introduce during the off-season, as well as when registrations and tryouts for the current programs become available.
