Email to Inbox not Spam
Wolverines Hockey Club · Parker, Colorado
Keep our email
out of your spam
Schedule changes, ice times, and tryout notices go out from wolverines-hockey.org. Some mail providers guess wrong and file those in spam. Two minutes of setup fixes it for the season.
Pick your email
Not sure? Look at what comes after the @ in your own address. Hotmail, Live, and MSN addresses all use the Outlook steps.
Gmail
Use a computer for this. The Gmail phone app cannot create rules.

1
Open your settings
Click the gear icon in the top right corner, then click See all settings.
The gear sits above your list of emails, on the far right. -
2
Go to Filters
Across the top of the settings page, click the tab named Filters and Blocked Addresses. Then click Create a new filter.
The link is below any filters you already have. Scroll down if you do not see it. -
3
Enter our domain
In the box labeled From, type wolverines-hockey.org and leave every other box empty. Click Create filter at the bottom right.
No @ sign needed. Typing the domain covers every address we send from. -
4
Check two boxes and finish
On the next screen, check Never send it to Spam and Also apply filter to matching conversations. Then click Create filter.
The second box pulls anything already sitting in spam back into your inbox.
Yahoo Mail
Use a computer. Yahoo has no single "never spam" switch, so you build a rule that routes our mail to the inbox.
-
1
Open More Settings
Click the gear icon in the top right corner, then click More Settings at the bottom of the menu.
More Settings is the last item in the gear menu. -
2
Add a filter
Click Filters in the left column, then Add new filters. Name it Wolverines Hockey.
-
3
Set the rule
Under From, change the dropdown to contains and type wolverines-hockey.org. Under Choose a folder to move to, pick Inbox.
Choosing Inbox is what keeps the message out of the spam folder. -
4
Save, then clear out spam
Click Save, then Save again on the settings screen. Open your Spam folder, and if any Wolverines email is in there, select it and click Not Spam.
Do both. The filter routes the mail; the Not Spam click teaches Yahoo to trust us. One without the other is only half the job.
Outlook, Hotmail, Live & MSN
All four use the same screen. This one is the shortest of the three.
